Augusta & Alex

We can't say though good things about her! Her communication throughout the whole process was great; she was always available for a question or concern. From the very start, she was our elopement shaman. She gave us an exhaustive list of recommendations for both the ceremony and the photographs afterwards. When the day came, she was not only professional but very emotionally aware.

Stephanie was always positive, going with the flow, never rushing us, while quietly snapping some awesome candid photos. Props to Stephanie, she really is the best!

ready to do this?

Claira & Bradley

We wanted to work with someone who loved the desert as much as we did and would be open to our crazy ideas.  In the months leading up to our big day, she checked in multiple times making sure all the details could come together.

We are so grateful for all the work Stephanie put into our elopement. We had so much fun the entire time. She truly went above and beyond, and we will never forget our experience.

"Steph was totally down for the adventure, camped with us, and helped make it better than we imagined."

 Frequently Asked Questions

Faq

When should we book our death valley elopement photographer?

01

I recommend booking 6-12 months before your elopement date. This timeline can vary significantly, but generally 6 months to one year provides enough time to apply for permits and get your first choice of lodging, vendors, and locations.

I don't like to hike. Is this for me?

02

Absolutely. Some of the most stunning spots are just steps from the parking lot. And if you want adventure without a steep climb, we can bring in a Jeep or horses—basically, choose your own adventure without breaking a sweat.

Can we have guests at our elopement?

03

Of course! I photograph elopements and intimate weddings with less than 50 guests. Certain locations in Death Valley may have limitations on the number of guests allowed. Guests are definitely welcome if YOU want them there. And the level of guest involvement is up to you, too. Maybe your guests are with you the entire day, maybe you opt for a private ceremony and just have guests at an intimate dinner afterward, maybe you don't have any guests and instead ask loved ones to handwrite you letters that you read together.

ARe you an inclusive business?

04

Yes. I believe everyone deserves beautiful images of themselves. Full stop. I welcome all races, genders, sexual orientations, ability levels, ages, body sizes, religions, and nationalities. Love is love is love.

do couples hike in their wedding attire?

05

They often do, but it depends on a few factors like what you're wearing, how strenuous the hike is, and your own abilities. No matter what, you'll need comfortable hiking shoes. Some people leave them on all day while others might do a shoe change at their ceremony or portrait spot. You can also change into your clothes once we arrive on location. I have a pop-up changing tent if you opt for this.

Do we need a permit?

06

Yes, Death Valley National Park does require a permit for marriage ceremonies. I'll reach out to the permit office to get all the details. You should expect the turnaround time to be 30-60 days, so make sure to pick a date that gives you enough time.

Can we bring our dog TO our elopement?

07

Unfortunately, Death Valley is notoriously unfriendly toward pets because their scents disturb the native wildlife. However, there are a select few spots in the park where we can include them. Be sure to mention this at the beginning of planning so we can prioritize pet-friendly locations. We can also incorporate pets at other points of your elopement day if they aren't allowed at your ceremony location (at your AirBnb, for example).
